well i've got my lesson learned now, take it back
Galion. It's beautiful, nice, amazing, all of those good words. It's such a pretty place and everyone is always so drawn to it and the fact that it always looks like something on the backside of a postcard only tends to draw people in. On the west coast, the island is located off of the coast of Southern California, almost nice enough to be considered one of the Hawaiian islands, only not out so far. For so long, it's been considered a great place for families to go and people to turn to for a nice relaxing getaway from their old lives. It seems to be an escape for more than just a few people. Families move to Galion to get a new start and make things better from what they had been. The island isn't small but isn't too large either but is only home to one school district. There in lies the problem and where the stories begin.
Those gracious children, the flawless ones that are always watched with admiring eyes, they have their iron hands down and run things around Galion. They're the ones that often see themselves as being the godlike figures, the ones who are strictly in charge and no one can tell them what to do. The Gracs, they're called. They seem to think that they're royalty and no one can do a thing to them. They however, also have a balance that throws things off and it's never pretty when that happens, especially with the size of the temper tantrums that they're capable of having. It's never a good sight when one of those happen. People can sometimes leave beaten and bloodied and others leave terrified. It's rather funny from an outsider's point of veiw, though, to be on the sidelines as it all explodes. It's pretty great, especially when you're a riot.
So you've got one side of the equation and now here's the other. The Gracs are everything that's supposed to be rich and perfect, right? Well, take that and turn day into night and make it a complete opposite. That would be the east side of town, home of The Riots. It's a bad part of the island, often infested with the drug addicted and drunk kids whos parents either just gave up or arent around. These are the poor kids, the druggies, the drunks, or a combination of any of the preceeding. It's sad how things differ so greatly from just a one sided perspective. And whats worse is the way they get treated, especially when no one bothers to try and understand why they do what they do. Sure, some of them only are involved in the drugs and things because they wanted to but others have been lead there because of traumatic things that have unfolded in their lives, either way, it's tragic and they're left to deal with how everyone else sees them.
What happens when the administrators of Galion High School find out about it all and plan to take action by pairing up the kids in a secret penpal system? What happens when those kids find out the truth, that they're talking to their worst enemies? Will fights break out, worse than they already are? Will this make the battle for the Eighteenth Street front even bloodier? It's hard to tell and only you can help decide at
