If you were a riot there were certain things you were expected to conform to. For one: you had to always be high on something. Number two: you were supposed to be failing the majority of your classes. Number three: you liked to party. The only part of this list that Tavish fit into was number two. He wasn't exactly the studious type and rarely handed in any homework, let alone got it done. Not to say the boy was stupid, because he was far from it. His thoughts were never wasted on things like his education though, because he didn't understand the point. Why would he waste his time with solving quadratic equations when he never would get a chance to use them? Maybe if he knew he had more time, Tavish would act differently towards work--but knowing he wasn't going to have an adulthood affected his thinking. Just slightly.
Stopping his grandmother's old pick up truck, Tavish glanced over at Savannah for a moment. He still wasn't sure how he had agreed to coming to this with her. Tavish was not a partier, it wasn't his thing. And one word to describe the parties on Galion was: wild. Crazy. Or just plain stupid. The senior wasn't sure. The last one he had gone to, a bunch of kids had begun taking apart the front porch, running away with the scraps of wood they had torn out. It made you wonder if the drugs really did affect their judgement. Or if living on an island where there was nothing to do got to you. Pulling the key out, he stuffed it in his pocket and opened the door and stepped out. Before Tavish could shut the car's door he felt Vee's smaller hand grab his and tug him forcefully towards the beach. "Good lord, I'm going." He said, almost tripping on a log as he was dragged towards the shoreline.
The pair stopped, and Tavish plopped himself down on the sand, looking up at Vannuh for a moment before blue optics wandered around the beach. There were a couple of other teenagers there, and a few had already set a car tire on fire. It made you wonder if there really was any truth in evolution when you saw a bunch of idiots. Tav pulled the hood of his grey sweater over his head before pulling at Vee's wrist and patting the spot beside him. It was going to be a long night. "No drinking. You hear?"

weekends are for the warriors.
Party. What is a party? Well, you have birthday parties, house parties, pizza parties and all other sorts of parties. None of those fit the 'parties' here in Galion. Galion blew it up ten times bigger then any of those kinds of things. Not even the crazy stars of Hollywood had ever partied this hard and that was saying something. Now if these parties were so savage, so weird.. so insane why do you think little Savannah would be dying to go? Good question. I have no clue. Neither does she really. Okay, i lied she sort of does. Savannah really wanted to go because it wasn't like there was anything better to do and just because you went to a party didn't mean anything bad had to happen. It was so stereotypical of people to say everyone was going to get mad drunk, run around naked and get arrested. Savannah for one wasn't a drinker and she liked keeping her clothes on (in public). That is exactly how she persuaded Tavish. At first she didn't think she would be able to but he surprised her with agreeing. Vee was jubilant because now she wouldn't have to go alone. Who knew what possible creeps could be there. They might cramp her style but now that she had Tavish going he could kick them. She could actually see Tavish running up to a big husky guy with grungy hair. Then he'd kick him in the shin and together they would run back to his car. Yep. Hopefully that wouldn't happen.
Savannah couldn't sit still. She fidgeted the whole car ride. She was nervous and excited all at the same time. That could be a pretty bad combination, she might puke. Watch out Tavish. She might start spitting chunks. Yucky. Once the car was had completely come to a stop she hopped out the door and slammed it shut behind her scurrying over to the other side and dragging Tavish away toward the beach. Forceful? Quite. "come onnn." she whined. Vee spotted the perfect place to stop and loosened her grip on him. She watched Tavish sit but she continued to stand looking out at the teal waves crashing against the shoreline. Savannah glanced down at the area he was patting motioning for her to sit. "aw, do i have to?" she asked, pouting. She was never good at sitting, she needed to be moving. Finally she sat down beside him, playing with the sleeves of her sweater. "okay mommy." she teased with a smile. "i won't drink. i promise to be a semi responsible teenager." yeah right.
She continued to toy with her sleeves for a few moments before crossing her legs indian style. She scooped up a handful of sand tried molding it. She was now using both hands and looked pretty concentrated. Every time she pulled away though the sand poured away, shapeless and blank. Frustrated Savannah smashed her palm violently over what was supposed to be a sand castle but every time it would collapse back into a pool of sand. "humph" she mumbled angrily.
this can't last forever, raise the glass together.
